Margo Lindauer is the definition of a multihyphenate. A lawyer by training and former clinical legal professor, Margo is currently a consultant and podcaster, sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience on the biweekly Justus podcast, which she hosts with Tashira Halyard.
“We confront challenging and confusing topics that disproportionately impact women and femmes through what we call ‘big’ age,” she explains. “We want to free the stigma around hard conversations and decisions.”
It’s not easy work, but Margo finds levity in the simple things, like taco Tuesdays and dance class with her daughter. Ahead, find out more about Margo’s favorite day of the week in our latest Day in Brief.
Uwila Warrior: What is your favorite day of the week?
Margo Lindauer: I don't have one favorite but I do love Tuesdays. And I love tacos!
UW: How is that day different from the others?
Margo: We are in the swing of things with our week and Tuesdays are the day I usually have at least one in-person meeting or recording and a dance class with my daughter.
UW: How does the day start for you?
Margo: I typically wake up at 5:30. Our mornings are early and sacred. My husband and I usually have coffee (sometimes in bed) and then get some work done before our morning chaos begins, usually right at 7. I make my girls pancakes or waffles every morning, it is a tradition. We cook, eat, and chat while my husband does lunches!
My big girls are out the door to school by 8. My big girl meets a friend and walks by herself. I typically walk Valea and we drop off our little one by 8:30. As soon as everyone is off, I am at my desk and starting to pound out emails, projects, and deliverables for the day.
